Pursuant to the passage of SB 516 during the 79th Legislature, the Governor’s Office of Workforce Innovations (OWINN) is responsible for Nevada’s Registered Apprenticeship programs and State Apprenticeship Council as of July 1, 2017. Often referred to as the "original 4-year degree", apprenticeship is a system of
supervised training leading to certification in a trade, occupation or craft. It
combines on-the-job training with classroom-related instruction.
